Site Safety Manager – San Jose, CA

We are seeking a highly motivated Site Safety Manager who is passionate about creating and maintaining a safe, productive construction environment. From day one, you will play a key role in driving site safety initiatives and promoting a strong safety culture across our projects. This position offers great benefits and competitive compensation based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety inspections across assigned projects
  • Train and educate employees on health and safety practices
  • Partner with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Subcontractors to ensure adherence to company and regulatory safety policies
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings and other project-related discussions
  • Support field teams by applying strong problem-solving skills in dynamic conditions
  • Lead formal investigations of work-related incidents and develop corrective action plans
  • Stay current with Local, State, and Federal safety and health regulations
  • Deliver individual and group training sessions on a variety of risk management topics

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of safety and health experience
  • 15 years of experience in construction of major facilities out of which five (5) years of experience is in the construction wastewater treatment plants.
  • FirstAid/CPR Certified
  • OSHA 30
  • Experience in underground construction and/or wastewater plant projects strongly preferred
  • CHST certification required
  • Ability and willingness to travel Monday–Friday
