An employee was killed Friday morning at a Lynchburg, Virginia nuclear energy products company. BWXT Nuclear Operations Group says the incident did not involve the release of any radioactive material. WFXR

In 2009, Fed-OSHA began issuing press releases following an inspection with a large fine of more than $40,000. A Duke researcher has found that a single press release naming a company that has violated workplace health and safety regulations can result in a 73 percent improvement in compliance by other facilities. Fed-OSHA fines Texas produce warehouse for employee’s fatal poisoning
Fed-OSHA has fined a Texas produce company just over $6,000 for the November poisoning death of a 32-year-old employee. The agency says the man was placing aluminum phosphate tablets and pesticide fumigators throughout its warehouse prior to being found dead by coworkers who returned after the weekend. Canada: New Brunswick man dies after transport truck hits parked construction truck
A 45-year-old southeastern New Brunswick man died Thursday after the transport truck he was driving collided with a parked construction safety truck, which caught fire. The person in the safety truck was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. CBC
