Growing Workplace AI Defies Company Bans

Some 45% of workers say they’ve used banned artificial intelligence tools on the job, according to a new report from Anagram, a security training company.
In addition, 40% said they’d knowingly breach company policy to finish a task faster, and 58% said they’ve posted sensitive data into AI tools, including client records, financial data and internal documents.
Anagram’s survey of 500 full-time U.S. employees revealed that 78% are already using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini or CoPilot at work, even when their companies don’t have clear policies.

The American Society of Safety Professionals is inviting safety and health experts to submit proposals by Sept. 10 to speak at its June 15–17, 2026, event.
Presentations should address key occupational safety and health issues as well as emerging matters and innovations relevant to the profession.
Those selected will be notified by Feb. 27, 2026, and will make their presentations in person for one hour, including 15 minutes for questions.

ACE Fire Protection said it has expanded its New York City-area fire extinguisher inspection initiative focused on FDNY‑serialized tagging, and documentation programs across commercial, residential, and industrial properties.
The local firm said the effort is designed to support compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.157, NFPA 10 (2022 edition), and New York City’s anti‑fraud tag requirements under 3 RCNY §115.
Under that OSHA rule, employers must ensure monthly visual inspections and annual maintenance are performed by qualified personnel.
“Regulators and insurers are placing greater emphasis on regular inspections, verified tagging, and accurate records to ensure operational readiness,” according to an announcement.
