MNOSHA report details 34 deaths in fiscal 2019
A new report from Minnesota OSHA that summarizes 34 workplace fatalities reported between October 2018 through September 2019 finds roughly 38 percent are related to construction work including road building, drywall installation, roofing and landscaping. According to the most recent Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, the state had 101 fatal work-injuries in 2017, up from 92 in 2016 and 74 in 2015. The 2017 total was the most since 1993.
