A new video, taken by a gym member, purportedly shows construction at a Newington, Connecticut gym being performed without proper safety measures, even after a retired firefighter last month reported being kicked out of the gym after notifying town officials of what he believed were construction safety hazards. Lawsuits increasing in New Orleans hotel collapse

The partial collapse of the Hard Rock Hotel construction site in New York on Oct 12 has spurred 11 lawsuits by site workers, nearby businesses, bystanders and the children of two of the men killed. One lawsuit alleges structural supports were not strong enough to support concrete in upper floors, use of unskilled labor, not allowing time for concrete to cure fully and that the contractors supplied incorrect test results to the city.
