Fitness clubs closed at request of OR-OSHA

Oregon OSHA has ordered several fitness facilities in and around Hermiston to close down due to the state’s latest COVID-19 restrictions. The agency says there have been no fines or other official enforcement actions taken against the businesses because the owner had voluntarily complied with shutting down after being contacted by OR-OSHA. Fed-OSHA fines senior living, care providers $3.4M for COVID hazards

Fed-OSHA last week announced that senior living providers have been among those cited since the start of the pandemic for violations including failing to implement written respiratory protection programs; failing to provide a medical evaluation, respirator fit test and training on the proper use of a respirator and personal protective equipment; and failing to report an injury, illness or fatality. Employee dies in Wisconsin grain silo incident

Fed-OSHA has opened in investigation into the death of a 52-year-old employee in a Cambria, Wisconsin grain silo. Authorities said the company informed them the man was last seen working in or around the grain silo. Five employees were killed at the site in a 2017 dust explosion. WKOW

Three injured and two missing in Ohio power plant collapse
