Fed-OSHA fines Illinois factory $85K for machine safety hazards

Fed-OSHA has issued $85,000 in fines to a lighting manufacturer for machine safety violations, including failure to review and test lockout/tagout procedures annually for effectiveness, and ensure employees used eye and face protection, in connection with a November incident at a Paris, Illinois facility factory when a master maintenance technician sustained suffered several facial burns after hot plastic in a molding machine was ejected onto his face.
