Indiana’s state of emergency extended
Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb Thursday issued a state public health emergency declaration that supersedes previous ones issued during the pandemic. The newest declaration extends through Memorial Day. Nearly 13,000 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19, and nearly 719,000 have contracted the virus since March 6, 2020. WBIW
Fall prevention focus aims to keep airmen ‘upright’
The Department of the Air Force is partnering with Fed-OSHA again this year during the National Safety Stand-Down to prevent falls being May 3-7, and focusing on fall prevention. During this year’s focus, Air and Space Force members are encouraged to take time out of their daily routines to pause and discuss fall prevention, identify hazards, recognize methods of protection, inspect protective equipment, and evaluate their fall prevention programs to ensure compliance. Body camera video of 2019 Seattle crane collapse response released
Two years after a crane fell from a building in Seattle, the police body camera video of the response has been released. Two people on the ground and two of the men who were disassembling the crane were killed in the incident. KIRO (Seattle)
Oregon: Restaurant posts trespassing warning aimed at government officials
A Medford, Oregon restaurant has posted a no trespassing notice targeted to government agents, stating the restaurant is private establishment and officials such as Oregon OSHA need a warrant to enter.
