Trench collapse kills two construction workers in St. Paul

Two construction workers were killed Friday afternoon when a trench they were working in collapsed near an apartment building construction site in St. Paul, Minnesota. A fire official said three contractors for a private construction company had been working on what appeared to be a water or sewage pipe project when the accident occurred. Amazon facility employee seriously injured in forklift accident

An employee of a Baton Rouge, Louisiana Amazon Fulfillment Center was partially crushed by a forklift on Friday, according to the fire officials. Emergency officials say the injured employee is expected to survive. WAFB

 

New Jersey cable company employee pinned by truck against pole

A 24-year-old subcontractor for a cable TV company was injured last week after being pinned between a utility pole and a bucket truck by a coworker. Coworkers alerted a nearby officer who called an ambulance to the scene. Fed-OSHA is investigating. Patch

 

MOSH facility finds 16 violations at fuel facility following fatal burn incident

Maryland OSHA has cited a petroleum services company for 16 alleged violations after an employee was fatally burned in a March 7 explosion and fire. According to MOSH, three people usually work together to unload vacuum trucks, but on the day of the incident, there was only one employee unloading his truck. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency raised concerns about the plant during a 2020 inspection. WBAL
