Meatpacking workers reportedly fearing infection

The latest Agriculture Department figures show that U.S. meat production is returning to nearly last year’s capacity. Infection rates are still rising at many meatpacking plants, however, prompting lawmakers and unions to call for more enforcement. Medical workers should use respirator masks, not surgical masks: Study

A new analysis of confirms N95 and other respirator masks are far superior to surgical or cloth masks in protecting essential medical workers against the coronavirus infection. Employees in meatpacking plants and some farms are all also at high risk of coronavirus infection and could benefit from N95 masks, according to former Fed-OSHA chief Dr. David Michaels.
