Fed-OSHA has charged a Niagara, Wisconsin castings company of exposing employees to machine hazards and fined it more than $206,000 for allegedly failing to use guards on bench and grinder stands, train employees on lockout-tagout procedures, and properly set grinder tongue and work rest adjustments. Fed-OSHA has fined a Park Ridge, Illinois contractor more than $250,000 for allegedly exposing workers to fall and scaffolding hazards at a commercial building project.
