- This expansion comes after two years of trials, training, and system refinements.

NSC Launches New Scholarship for Veterans
- The National Safety Council has announced a new Advanced Safety Certificate Scholarship for Veterans.
- U.S. armed forces veterans can complete the NSC Advanced Safety Certificate program at no cost.
- It enables them to further their safety education and sharpen leadership skills, while also connecting them to other experienced environmental, health and safety professionals.
- Scholarship program benefits include: A free 12-day online training designed to deepen understanding of safety practices and protect workers from hazardous conditions.
- Applications for the program are open through Jan. 31, 2025.

Nominations Sought for DoL Construction Safety Advisory Panel
- The US Department of Labor is seeking nominations for membership on the Advisory Committee for Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH).
- The panel advises the Secretary of Labor and the Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA in developing standards affecting the construction industry, and on policy matters arising in the administration of the safety and health provisions stipulated under federal law, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970
- ACCSH generally meets two to four times a year.
- The deadline to submit nominations is Jan. 2, 2025.
