  • A 25-year-old Michels Power, Inc. employee sustained serious injuries after contacting a live wire while working on elevated power lines in Revere, Massachusetts. 
  • Coworkers rescued the worker from a safety harness, and an off-duty nurse used an Automated External Defibrillator on the scene. 
  • National Grid is currently investigating the electrical incident. 
  • The worker was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Washington Gas Worker Injured in Beltsville Pipeline Explosion

A Washington Gas employee sustained serious injuries on February 27, 2026, when a gas line exploded in Beltsville, Maryland. 

The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. while the crew was repairing damage to a four-inch line caused by third-party excavation. 

Officials evacuated the surrounding area and shut off local gas service to mitigate risks.
